How much notice do you need to book an office move?
For a smooth move, two to four weeks is ideal, especially if you want a specific date or are moving a larger office. We can often work to shorter notice, so it is always worth calling to check availability before you rule a date out.
Will our business have to shut down while we move?
Not necessarily. During the survey we plan the move around your working day and agree timings that keep disruption as low as possible, and larger moves can be done in stages so part of your team keeps working. If you have a preferred window or a quiet period, tell us when you book and we will build the schedule around it.
Is the quote a fixed price, or could it change on the day?
The written quote we send after the survey is a fixed price. As long as the move matches what we surveyed, the price does not change. If the scope grows (extra rooms, more furniture, added storage) we will tell you the cost before doing anything.
Do you move office furniture and dismantle desks?
Yes. We move desks, chairs, filing cabinets, storage units and meeting room furniture, and our team can dismantle larger items before the move and reassemble them in the right place at your new premises.
Can you pack our equipment and files for us?
Yes. We supply proper materials and can pack your documents, equipment and fragile items, then protect everything in transit. One thing to note: we move and handle your IT hardware carefully, but we do not disconnect or reconfigure IT systems, so arrange your IT provider for shutting down and setting back up. What if our new premises are not ready yet?
That is common, and it is what our is for. We can move your furniture and equipment into clean indoor storage and deliver it when the new office is ready, all handled by the same team.
Are you insured if something gets damaged?
Yes. We are fully insured with the appropriate goods-in-transit and removals cover, and our handling standards are built to avoid damage in the first place. You also deal with the same local team throughout, not a call centre.
